Rowing Takes Four Races at Carolina Cup

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Duke women’s rowing team began the spring with an impressive second-place performance at the Carolina Cup on Lake Hartwell. The Blue Devils competed against host Clemson and North Carolina and won four races, claiming the V8, 2V8, V4 and exhibition 3V4. Duke tallied victories in four of the five races it competed in and finished second overall with 89 points, behind Clemson’s 90 and the Tar Heels’ 78.

“This was a great day for Duke,” first-year head coach Megan Cooke Carcagno said. “The team learned many lessons today, first being the importance of the team and the roles we all play.
