DURHAM, N.C. – A month after holding its annual ergathon fundraiser, the Duke rowing team headed to Bull City Fit on Monday evening to make its donation. The Blue Devils raised nearly $7,000 for the local nonprofit organization.
Bull City Fit was founded in 2012 and is a community-based wellness program for patients and families of the Duke Children’s Healthy Lifestyles Program. Bull City Fit puts together a wide variety of activities to encourage and promote active living and help fight childhood obesity, including fitness instruction, dance, sports, moderated peer support group sessions, gardening, cooking classes and more.
