EUGENE, Ore. – Duke graduate Shannon Rowbury earned a top-three finish in the women’s 1,500 final Sunday to qualify for her third consecutive Olympic Games, while recent Duke graduate Megan Clark posted a top-five finish in the women’s pole vault in her first U.S. Olympic Team Trials appearance. Sunday marked the final day of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
Rowbury, the American record holder for 1,500, crossed the finish line in a time of 4:05.39 and placed second overall to secure a spot on her third consecutive Olympic team.
