DURHAM, N.C. – Sophomore Michael Rothenberg was named to the 2019 ACC Baseball Championship All-Tournament Team, as announced Sunday by the Atlantic Coast Conference following the conclusion of the ACC Baseball Championship.
Rothenberg drove in six runs across his two games in the ACC Tournament, including a career-high five RBI in Tuesday’s win against Notre Dame. The second-year backstop blasted his first career grand slam against the Fighting Irish in his first at-bat of the contest, propelling Duke to a 10-6 victory to open pool play in the tournament. The home run marked Rothenberg’s team-leading 10th long ball of the season, and just the 23rd grand slam in ACC Baseball Championship history.
