DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University women’s basketball fifth year senior Sofia Roma is among 26 players that have been called into training by the Basketball Federation of Puerto Rico (PBPUR) to compete for positions as the country prepares for international events this summer.
Roma will kick off training Thursday, June 14 at the University of Puerto Rico on the Bayamón Campus.
"We are very enthusiastic about the group of players that we have been able to gather for these commitments,” said Puerto Rico National Team coach Gerardo Batista. “In the Pre-selection we have experienced athletes and other very talented young people.
