DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke women’s basketball letterwinner Sofia Roma has been selected to the Puerto Rico National Team that will participate in the 2019 Pan American Games, which will be played in Lima, Peru. The games are set to debut Tuesday, August 6 at the Eduardo Dibós Coliseum.
“It's a talented team, with a mix of veteran and young players. It is a good group of players who participated in the World Cup, Centrobasket and has international experience. This will help us a lot and we will have good representation in the Pan American Games,” said Gerardo “Jerry” Batista, head coach.
