Awful news for former Blue Devil Rodney Hood as the Portland wing tore his Achilles tendon Friday night in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Hood went up for a rebound and came down to fall to the floor to be surrounded by his Portland teammates and former Cleveland teammate and current Laker LeBron James.
When you read this article you get an idea of just how the injury affected his teammates.
Hood was having a solid year. He was starting and averaging 11 ppg and 29.5 minutes.
Apparently he’d been having some tightness in his Achilles but passed all the protocols and was ready to play.
