CARY, N.C. – Duke men's tennis junior Pedro Rodenas earned two singles wins Sunday and advanced to the championship match at the ITA Regional Championship. By advancing to the finals, he automatically qualifies for the NCAA Singles Tournament next month.
Seeded second in the Carolina Regional, Rodenas defeated Lucas Andrade da Silva (South Carolina) 6-1, 6-0 in the quarterfinals this morning. He faced third-seeded Dhakshineswar Suresh of Wake Forest in the semis and grinded out a 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (2) victory.
