Everyone pretty much understood that Duke’s RJ Barrett wanted to be a Knick but in case anyone (hello Memphis) missed it, he made it exceedingly explicit Monday.
Barrett met with the Knicks, announced that he wouldn’t meet or work out for any other team, and that “[t]his is where I want to be. I hope they draft me.”
That doesn't mean that New York has to feel the same way of course and there have been rumors that they might trade down. But at least they know where he stands and given New York’s horrible management, it’s a minor miracle that anyone wants to be there.
