DURHAM, N.C.--The University of Richmond scored the game’s final four goals to upset the No. 7 Blue Devils 12-10 in non-conference men’s lacrosse action this evening at Koskinen Stadium. The loss is the second straight for Duke as the Spiders are off to their best start in program history.
The setback for Duke was its first loss to an unranked opponent at home since a 9-6 loss to Harvard Feb. 21, 2009. The Blue Devils never led by more than two goals and failed to score in the fourth quarter after taking only five shots. For the second straight game, Duke failed to score in a quarter.
