Five years after handing the Duke basketball program title No. 5, five guys from the 2014-15 squad will have a chance to shine in their roles for their respective NBA franchises.
Four are now 23-year-olds (the infancy of a player’s prime).
Three of those — Tyus Jones, Justise Winslow, and Jahlil Okafor — were one-and-done freshmen when the Blue Devils marched to One Shining Moment on April 6, 2015, and have now been in the league four seasons.
The other, Grayson Allen, after serving as the secret sauce during Duke’s 68-63 title-game win over Wisconsin, stayed in Durham three more seasons and didn’t make his NBA debut until last season.
