DURHAM, N.C. – Another former Duke women’s soccer great will be taking the big stage in Europe this summer for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, as Rebecca Quinn was named to Canada’s official roster on Saturday.
Quinn is the second Blue Devil to earn a spot in the 2019 World Cup, joining former teammate Kayla McCoy, who was tabbed to Jamaica’s official roster on Wednesday, May 22. Quinn and McCoy’s appointments give Duke three World Cup representatives in program history, joining Rebecca Smith (1999-2002). Smith captained the New Zealand squad in 2007 to the WWC finals.
