DURHAM, N.C. – As she’s done time after time for the Canadian Women’s National Team, former Blue Devil great Rebecca Quinn dominated on the pitch during the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Championship in October, landing a spot on the tournament’s Best XI squad.
Behind a pair of goals and one assist, the Toronto native helped lead the Canadian Women’s National Team into the finals of the CWC. Quinn’s leadership helped Canada post three shutouts throughout the tournament and outscore its opponents, 24-3, in five matches. Canada opened the tournament with group play victories against Jamaica (2-0), Cuba (12-0) and Costa Rica (3-1), following up with a 7-0 win against Panama to qualify for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
