DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women’s soccer junior Rebecca Quinn has been named to Canada’s 2016 CONCACF Women’s Qualifying Championship team, that will kick off action in Texas in just over two weeks.
Quinn, who is a product of Toronto, Canada, was one of 20 players that will look to help Canada secure a spot at this summer’s Olympic Games through a victory in the semifinal knockout round.
Canada, currently ranked 11th in the world, will compete in Group B of the 2016 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship, opening its Olympic qualification campaign against 89th-ranked Guyana February 11, before taking on 48th-ranked Trinidad and Tobago February 14, and 76th-ranked Guatemala February 16.
