It appears that quarterback Thomas Sirk will possibly miss the season due to hurting his Achilles again, after recently having the injury re-evaluated. Despite making a speedy recovery and preparing to play at the start of the season next week, the tests revealed that significant the damage to his Achilles was significant.
The extent of Sirk’s injury has not been released by the team, so it’s not official if the 6-4 quarterback will miss the entire season, can return near the end of the year, or is done for his career. This is his third Achilles injury, and if the latest damage isn’t career-ending then Sirk does have the option to redshirt again and apply for another year of eligibility.
