DURHAM, N.C.—With the men's soccer awards season in full swing, Duke's Daniele Proch continues to garner recognition. This most recent honor is for his excellence in the classroom as the senior forward garnered Division I Men's Soccer CoSIDA Academic All-America Division I First Team recognition.
Proch is the first Blue Devil to garner first-team recognition since Andrew Wenger and Christopher Tweed-Kent in 2011. It is just the fifth time a Duke player has been voted to the first team in program history, while he is the third Blue Devil to capture consecutive honors after being a third-team choice a year ago.
