DURHAM, N.C.—Duke junior Daniele Proch’s success on the field this season is matched by his excellence in the classroom. Days after being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America second team, he has been voted to the association’s Scholar All-South Region first team.
Duke’s first CoSIDA Academic All-American since 2011, earning third team recognition last week, Proch has reaped virtually every award possible this postseason. In addition to his All-America honor and Google Cloud Academic All-America award, he also recently was named a Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, the first for a Blue Devil since Andrew Wenger won the award in 2011, and garnered All-ACC first team honors.
