HOUSTON – Former Duke center Marshall Plumlee was one of 12 players selected to the 2017 USA Basketball Men’s AmeriCup Team on Monday night after six sessions of training camp.
The U.S. team will continue to train in Houston until Aug. 24 and will practice in Montevideo, Uruguay, from Aug. 25-27. Former NBA head coach and current broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy is serving as U.S. head coach during the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup.
The Americans will compete in AmeriCup Group C play in Montevideo, Uruguay, from Aug. 28-30. The medal rounds will take place in Cordoba, Argentina, from Sept.
