DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt sophomore return specialist Damond Philyaw-Johnson earned ACC Player of the Week honors following his record-setting performance against Wake Forest last week.
Philyaw-Johnson honor gives Duke its fifth weekly award recognition of the season after AJ Reed, Koby Quansah, Jack Wohlabaugh and Victor Dimukeje were also acknowledged earlier in the year.
Philyaw-Johnson returned five kickoffs for 251 yards and two TDs to equal the NCAA single-game record for kickoff returns for TDs against the Demon Deacons.
