DURHAM, N.C. – Duke swimmers captured Performer of the Week honors from the ACC for the second consecutive week, with juniors Alex Peña and Anna Quinn both being recognized for their performances at the Janis Hape Dowd Carolina College Nike Invitational.
Peña came in under the NCAA provisional standards in two events over the weekend, doing so in the men’s 200-yard freestyle and 200 backstroke. The Orlando, Fla., native won the 200 backstroke, with his finals mark of 1:44.38 ranking him second on the Blue Devils’ all-time performance list.
