CARY, N.C. -- Freshman Sophia Parvizi-Wayne, competing in just her second collegiate cross country race, garnered all-conference honors after placing 15th overall at this year’s ACC Cross Country Championships in Cary, N.C. Parvizi-Wayne paced the Blue Devils to an 11th-place team finish Friday morning. NC State claimed the team title after amassing 53 points, while Notre Dame (74) took second and Virginia Tech (153) placed third.
“It’s only my second cross country race in three years, so we didn’t really know what to expect,” Parvizi-Wayne said. “I’m pretty happy with how I ran.
