DURHAM, N.C. – Duke senior Margaux Paolino and the United States’ women’s national field hockey squad begin their title defense at the Pan American Games Monday in Lima, Peru. The squad opens pool play against Mexico at 3 p.m. ET.
Team USA, listed 13th in the latest International Hockey Federation (FIH) world rankings, will compete in Pool B along with 15th-ranked Chile, 30th-ranked Mexico and 38th-ranked Peru. Argentina, Canada, Cuba and Uruguay comprise Pool A.
Pool play on the women’s side continues through Sunday, followed by quarterfinals Tuesday, Aug. 6 and placement contests Friday, Aug.
