BOSTON – More than 60 female athletes were chosen Wednesday night in the United Women’s Lacrosse League’s 2018 College Draft, including Blue Devil seniors Maddie Crutchfield and Kyra Harney.
Crutchfield was selected 12th overall by the Long Island Sound while Harney was the 40th player drafted and was chosen by the Baltimore Ride.
Nearly 30 different colleges and universities were represented in the draft, which lasted 18 rounds.
A midfielder from Concord, N.H., Crutchfield is a three-year starter for the Blue Devils and a two-time Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association All-South Region and All-ACC honoree.
