FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – A pair of Blue Devils reached the finals of the women’s 100-meter butterfly to highlight the second day of competition at the 2015 AT&T Winter National Championships, held at the Weyhauser King County Aquatic Center.
Sophomores Isabella Paez and Leah Goldman were 17th and 24th, respectively, in the event preliminaries Friday morning, qualifying them to the C final. Both NCAA qualifiers as freshmen in 2015, Paez and Goldman each dropped time in the evening session. Paez was second in the heat at 59.99, a mark that broke the previous school record, while Goldman touched third in a personal-best 1:00.
