You might look down the schedule and see Bucknell and think, well that’s no big deal. To which we would say: not so fast.
Bucknell has a nice basketball tradition and in fact knocked off #3 Kansas in the 2005 NCAA tournament then followed that up the next year by taking down Arkansas.
Coach John Griffin, who took over at the tail end of last season, is a true lifer: his dad coached at Siena and then Saint Joseph’s. His brother played college ball and so did his wife.
And Bucknell is receptive to, and respectful of, college basketball and in a great place to find players.
