DURHAM, N.C. - The top-seeded and third-ranked Duke women's soccer team scored a pair of second half goals to earn a 2-0 victory over Long Beach State in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals on Nov. 25, 2011 to advance to the NCAA College Cup for the second time in program history.
Duke's goals came seven minutes apart midway through the second half and were the 11th and 12th of the NCAA Tournament for the Blue Devils. Redshirt sophomore Kim DeCesare registered what proved to be the game winner off an assist from sophomore Mollie Pathman. Gilda Doria clinched the win with her first career goal.
