Olympic Basketball: U.S. Hits A New Gear And Beats Argentina 105-78

Now that’s more like it.

Despite a rocky start which saw Argentina build a 10-point lead, the U.S. cranked things up and blew by the Argentines, 105-78.

It was probably the last game for legend Manu Ginobli, who has had a brilliant career for his home country.

Kevin Durant led the way for the U.S. with 27 points. Paul George added 17 and Kyrie Irving had 11.

The U.S. now moves on to a very tough game with a resurgent Spain. Spain absolutely hammered France Tuesday afternoon, winning 92-73 and it wasn’t anywhere near that close.
