Argentina is a fading power in basketball but still dangerous
The U.S. Olympic basketball team is called...the U.S. basketball team. The French team is called Les Blues. New Zealand are the All Blacks and Australia is called the Boomers.

That translates to The Argentine Soul, which puts things on a bit of a different level.
Over the last 15 years or so, Argentina has been absolutely world class basketball thanks to what Argentinians call "the Golden Generation."
Only four of those guys remain.
Andres Nocioni, who plays for Real Madrid, Luis Scola, who plays for the Brooklyn Nets,Carlos Delfino, who played for several NBA teams and Manu Ginobli, who of course plays for the San Antonio Spurs.
