DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University senior Leaonna Odom has been tabbed one of 20 preseason candidates for the Katrina McClain Award, which recognizes the top power forwards in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. The award is named after the two-time All-America and 1987 National Player of the Year, Katrina McClain.
One of the most athletic student-athletes in the collegiate game today, Odom is coming off averaging 13.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals, while starting 29-of-30 contests. The 6-2 forward notched six games of 20+ scoring and five double-doubles a year ago.
