DURHAM, N.C. — Duke University women’s basketball junior Leaonna Odom has been selected one of 30 watch list selections for the John R. Wooden Award presented by Wendy’s.
The list was chosen by a preseason poll of national women’s college basketball media members.
Odom, a native of Lompoc, Calif., came on strong last season in the NCAA Tournament averaging 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in three games. She totaled a career-high 25 points against Belmont and then collected a game-high 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the NCAA regional semifinal against top-seeded Connecticut.
