DURHAM, N.C. -- David Cutcliffe has watched the transformation of Wallace Wade Stadium closely over the off-season, seeing every change “brick by brick” from his office window in the Yoh Center.
Saturday, the rest of the Duke community will get to see the changes in the historic facility as Duke meets N.C. Central in the first game at the newly renamed Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.
“I’ve had a bird’s eye view,” Cutcliffe said Tuesday. “I don’t know if they’ve put a brick in that I haven’t seen.”
He was surprised by the performance of the construction crew that has managed the transformation.
