ATLANTA, Ga. – No. 9 Duke (34-16, 15-12 ACC) dropped the rubber match with Georgia Tech (30-19, 14-13 ACC) on Sunday, 8-6, at Russ Chandler Stadium.
The Yellow Jackets struck first in the bottom of the second inning, before Harrison Rodgers tripled to center field to score Kyle Johnson from first to tie the ballgame in the top of the fifth inning. Georgia Tech responded in the bottom half, regaining the lead, 2-1.
The Jackets added to their lead with a pair of runs in the sixth, before Duke was able to flush starter Take McKee after 6.
