DURHAM – The No. 8 Duke women's lacrosse team opens the 2022 slate Friday against Gardner-Webb. Opening draw is set for 6 p.m., in Koskinen Stadium. The Blue Devils will then make the short trip to Elon, N.C., to take on the Phoenix Sunday at 1 p.m.

Friday marks just the second meeting between the Blue Devils and the Runnin' Bulldogs. Duke captured a 22-7 victory on February 7, 2020, which also marked head coach 's 300th-career victory. The Blue Devils own a 5-1 lead in the all-time series against Elon and have won three straight.
