ELON, N.C. – It was another fast and furious performance by the eighth-ranked Duke women's lacrosse team with a 25-5 victory over Elon on Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Blue Devils improve to 2-0 overall in the young season and have tallied a whopping 47 goals in two contests. Duke's 39 points on Sunday set a single-game record as the previous of 38 was also set against Elon.
"This was a good test for us," head coach Kerstin Kimel said. "The weather was not ideal, but [I'm] really happy with the quality of our play despite the fact that it was a road game and with the weather.
