DURHAM – On Friday afternoon at Ambler Tennis Stadium, the eighth-ranked Duke women's tennis team registered a 4-3 victory over 11th-ranked Miami to win their eighth-straight contest, while improving to 19-2 overall and 8-1 in ACC action.
The win marked the 23rd-consecutive home victory for the Blue Devils and dropped Miami to 11-4 overall and 6-2 in ACC play.
How It Happened
• Duke came out and was very impressive in doubles as the Blue Devils won all three matches to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
• Playing in just their second contest together, and registered a 6-1 win over 53rd-ranked Alexa Noel and Isabella Pfennig on court two.
