DURHAM – Senior Maddie Jenner's goal with 1:21 remaining pushed seventh-ranked Duke past second-ranked Boston College, 16-15, in thrilling women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon in Koskinen Stadium.
With the victory, the Blue Devils won their ninth game in a row, improve to 15-1, 6-1 ACC and hand the Eagles just their second loss of the season (13-2, 5-2 ACC). Duke's record is tied with its best start since 2006, when the Blue Devils were ACC regular season champions and reached the NCAA semifinal game.
"We knew today was going to be a battle," head coach Kerstin Kimel said.
