DURHAM – Duke attackmen Brennan O'Neill and Dyson Williams combined for 12 points and the Blue Devils defense held Denver scoreless for 21 minutes to post a convincing 19-10 victory over the No. 11 Pioneers in non-conference men's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium.
O'Neill and Williams both had four goals and two assists apiece to lead the seventh-ranked Blue Devils. Duke improves to 4-1, bouncing back from a setback to Jacksonville the week prior. Denver falls to 2-1 on the year.
"It was a beautiful sunny day in Durham, and I thought the crowd was great for a game in February," said head coach John Danowski.
