DURHAM – No. 6 Duke (29-14, 13-10 ACC) had the tying and winning runs in scoring position in the bottom of the ninth, before lining out to second base to fall to No. 10 Florida State (34-8, 13-7 ACC), 7-6, at Jack Coombs Field.
Florida State jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after the three and a half frames, before Devin Obee hit a two-run home run to left center field to tie the ballgame. The Noles regained and extended their lead in the fifth and sixth innings, 7-2.
