DURHAM – The sixth-ranked Duke women's tennis team kicked off the 2023 spring slate on Friday afternoon in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center with a 7-0 victory over Furman. The Blue Devils collected their 16th-consecutive season-opening win and 12th-straight home dub.
How It Happened
• After falling behind 40-0 to open the match, the Duke duo of Emma Jackson and Iuliia Bryzgalova came back to take the first game on court three. The Blue Devils lost only one game in the match and went on to defeat Marissa Pennings/Ellie Schulson, 6-1.
