DURHAM – Fifth-ranked Duke softball closes out the regular season with a three-game conference series against NC State. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on Friday at Dail Softball Stadium in Raleigh.
The Blue Devils (41-6, 17-4 ACC) are coming off a pair of non-conference victories over Gardner-Webb and Longwood. Duke earned its 12th run-rule victory of the season after defeating the Runnin' Bulldogs, 14-1, in five innings on Tuesday. The Blue Devils then shut out Longwood, 6-0, on Wednesday to conclude the regular season home slate.
NC State brings a 27-20 record into the weekend, including a 3-15 mark in ACC play.
