DURHAM - The fifth-ranked Duke women's fencing team closed out the regular season Sunday with a 4-0 sweep at the Duke Invitational in Card Gymnasium.
How It Happened
- Duke secured victories over No. 1 DIII Johns Hopkins (20-7), No. 4 DIII Brandeis (22-5), No. 9 Temple (14-13) and Air Force (17-10).
- Duke was led by senior epeeist Chloe Beittel with nine victories while freshman saberist Victoria Gorman collected seven.
- The foil squad went 4-0 and was led by Elisha Tan with an 8-1 ledger.
