DURHAM – Duke junior midfielder Kira Curland scored on a penalty corner with 6:58 remaining in the second overtime to lift the fifth-ranked Blue Devils to a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over No. 11 Boston College in ACC field hockey action Friday night.
The Blue Devils are riding a five-match winning streak and improve to 7-1 on the year and 2-0 versus ACC foes. Boston College falls to 5-3 on the year and 1-1 in ACC action.
Graduate student Hannah Miller had two assists in the game, while Alaina McVeigh had Duke's first goal.
