WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Junior Kelly Chen continued her success at the 2019 ITA Regional Championships Sunday afternoon by advancing to the finals of the singles main draw.
Chen, who is ranked No. 5 by the ITA, defeated No. 125 Megan Davies of South Carolina in straight sets (6-4, 6-0) and will now face No. 12 Cameron Morra of North Carolina Monday in the finals.
In the consolation singles bracket, graduate student Summer Dvorak defeated No. 94 Mackenzy Middlebrooks of Clemson (6-3, 6-3) in the semifinals before she dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision to Wake Forest's Ana Campana in the finals.
