FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Duke men's golf team opened its spring season on Sunday by defeating Princeton, 10.5-5.5, in a dual match at the Club at Emerald Hills in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
The fourth-ranked Blue Devils won the morning session, 6-2, and edged the Tigers in the afternoon session, 4.5-3.5, to claim the victory. Junior Qi wen Wong, sophomore Quinn Riley and junior Drew Powell each swept their matches on Sunday to pace Duke.
Wong posted the largest margin of the day for Duke, taking down Max Holm of Princeton in the morning session by a 7&6 score.
