NEWTON, Mass. – The No. 4 Duke field hockey team dropped a 1-0 ACC contest against No. 10 Boston College at the Boston College Field Hockey Complex Friday evening.
Duke falls to 12-6 overall and 1-5 in the ACC with the loss, while Boston College improved to 11-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play. The Blue Devils enter the ACC Tournament next Thursday as the six seed and will play at 5 p.m. in Newton, Mass., with their opponent to be determined.
Duke outshot the Eagles 3-0 in the first quarter and led 3-1 in shots and 2-0 in corners at the end of the scoreless first half.
