DURHAM, N.C. – The fourth-ranked Duke women’s tennis team kicked off its home dual match slate by blanking Elon, 7-0, Wednesday afternoon in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series 4-0 against Elon and are 36-6 against the Colonial Athletic Association.
“Any time we can win a match is big,” head coach Jamie Ashworth said. “We have three matches in five days and getting the first is important for us. Playing at home is also important for us. We’ve had a great home record the past few years and we want to set the tone.
