DURHAM, N.C. – Senior attackman Justin Guterding scored six goals and added two assists to help No. 3 Duke to a 17-5 triumph over visiting Marquette on Friday evening at Koskinen Stadium. The Blue Devils outscored the Golden Eagles 12-2 in the second half to earn the win.
Duke improves to 12-2 overall while Marquette falls to 6-6. The Blue Devils have now won all six meetings in the all-time series.
“Marquette did a nice job facing off [in the first half],” said head coach John Danowski. “They did a great job off the ground and they took advantage.
