TEMPE, Ariz. – The Duke softball program (4-1, 0-0 ACC) closed its stint at the Kajikawa Classic with a 5-1 victory over Utah (1-3, 0-0 PAC-12) on Sunday morning at Alberta Farrington Stadium.
The Blue Devils improved to 3-0 all-time against the Utes, after two wins this weekend. Duke finished the weekend with a 4-1 record, averaging 8.4 runs per game.
Utah was able to jump out in front in the first inning, behind an RBI single from Julia Jimenez following an error to make it 1-0. However, the Blue Devils starter Claire Davidson limited the damage, leaving two runners on.
