DURHAM – Junior Wendell Moore Jr., finished with 21 points, five rebounds and six assists to lead No. 2 Duke to a 92-67 win over Appalachian State on Thursday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Fourteen of Moore's points came in the second half, including a corner three that capped off a 9-0 run in less than a minute to help the Blue Devils (9-1) break the game open. The Mountaineers (6-6) cut their deficit to five before the Duke run, and from there were unable to get it back to a single-digit game.
