DURHAM, N.C. – No. 2 Duke men's soccer fell to California 2-0 on Sunday evening in the ACC Quarterfinals, ending the Blue Devils ACC Tournament run. Duke now awaits their NCAA Tournament schedule, which will be announced on Nov. 18.
California opened the scoring early in the match, serving a ball into the box, before it found the back of the net for an own goal, 1-0. In the 17th minute, Arik Duncan scored from just in front of the six-yard box to double the lead, 2-0.
Duke generated 10 shots in the second half and four on frame, but they were unable to find the back of the net, ending the ACC Tournament run.
